Khigh Stephens is the owner and founder of Control Fitness. He has a true passion for helping others take control of their life mentally, physically and spiritually. Khigh is a U.S Army veteran and still holds tight to the 7 army values; Loyalty, Honor, Duty, Respect, Integrity, Selfless Service, and Personal Courage. His love for fitness began after he completed an enlistment in the U.S. Army. A few months after getting out of the army Khigh noticed his fitness level decreasing. He realized his weight was increasing, his posture was declining, and his energy level was fading. A simple jog around the block left him feeling exhausted and in pain. Khigh knew this was not the direction he wanted to keep moving towards and something had to be done. He committed to turning his fitness challenges into something positive. His own journey towards reaching and exceeding fitness goals, inspired a desire to help others. 


Khigh’s fitness journey along with his experience training others has taught him the importance of performing exercises correctly. While many may focus on “going hard” or burning the most calories in the least amount of time, Khigh understands that real fitness is form of art. One must develop the correct skills before they can increase the intensity of an exercise. He focuses on technique to keep clients safe but to also maximize the benefits of every movement. 


Clients of Control Fitness are offered the opportunity to begin where they are. After a thorough assessment a fitness plan is designed to meet the unique needs of the individual. The goal at Control Fitness is start from the client’s beginning and gradually and effectively move them beyond what they thought their limits were.
